The BDGA wants to remind all club professionals and course managers that we have three major events coming up during
the period from April 15 to May 14th.
April 15th -
GHIN Handicap posting begins for 2011.
April
16th -
The BDGA annual spring meeting will take place at the NOCO Pavilion on Ensminger Rd. behind the 1st hole
on the
Sheridan Golf Course. Registration begins at 9:30am and the meeting will run from 10am to 11:30 am.
Lunch will
be served from 11:30am to 12:30pm. The cost is $15.00 per person. Member clubs are encouraged
to send a
representative to the meeting. We will discuss our events for this coming year, our new online
registration/payment
program, and other general topics of interest to those present. Please contact our office
to reserve a place.
May 14th -
Westwood Country Club will be the site of our first joint effort
between the BDGA, USGA and NYSGA. We will be
hosting a rules seminar,
open to the golfing public. Rules officials from the USGA will provide the instruction. There
is no
cost for this seminar. It would be an excellent morning, especially for your junior golfers. Sign up begins at 8:30
and the instruction will run from 9am until 11:30am. Registration can be done at
www.usga.org. At the present time
we have 65 reservations, and the registration will be closed at 90.
